AVG Anti-Virus is a free anti-virus, easy to use, is residential and with free upgrades from the Internet. It also tests and protects email from possible virus infections. It takes up very little space, which, for an anti-virus, is very important.

Other favourable points are its ease of use (you have only to click on the direct buttons to scan your whole system if you wish, the upgrades are automatic, visually you can see everything that is activated and what is not...) and the possibility to configure every process. It is an anti-virus way above average, and it`s also free.
